Natalie Ferstendik is an illustrator whose cards I saw in the Paperchase in Brighton this weekend. She has done loads of stuff for big magazines, Vogue, Elle etc. I left my camera down there unfortunately, otherwise there would be lots of ridiculous photos going up too. Getting it back next weekend so will put them up then. So funny.

Those of you who read this regularly will know that I absolutely adore Charlotte Ronson clothes (and the whole brand really). They are all sixties style and Jane Birkin-esque and floaty and beautiful! It was truly great going to her store on Mulberry Street in New York, I couldn't really believe I was actually there having gawped at photos and pics of the clothes for ages (I'm so cool)!
Anyway I digress, this is the new a/w08 promo film. I am off to Brighton for the weekend to sit by the sea and drink cider and try to forget about the pain of job hunting until Monday! I've only been at it for two days but it's exhausting!
Junior digital designer anyone?

Erin Wasson has just signed a three-year contract to design a line for surf-and skate-inspired label RVCA, and Opening Ceremony (the NY shop) has already bought the spring 2009 collection. Wasson, who until recently was Alexander Wang’s style-muse, is famous for her ad campaigns for the likes of Balenciaga and H&M, and has also previously designed a jewelry line, Low Luv (featured in Wang’s fall 2008 runway show). I posted about it here.
Wasson describes her first collection as “tomboy chic.”Said to mirror her personal style, it will feature Pima cotton tank tops, denim cutoffs, a wool miniskirt, a silk button-down emblazoned with tiny thunderbolts, and a jaunty blazer with a zipper running up the back. Wasson told WWD that she thinks the problem with surf and skate companies is that the girls’ stuff tends to have a lot of pinks and blues and that it’s just assumed that that’s what girls want to wear.
When I used to wear skate clothes the only ones I really ever loved was WESC, Volcom used to be cool but then went off the boil. I reckon this line might be something along the lones of WE, which is great news. Not all girls who love to snowboard and skate have punk taste.

Haven't been posting very regularly! Designing my website and although I'm really enjoying it it's taking up all my computer hours! I have to have a few not on it!! Here are some holiday polaroids. Oh how I love my polaroid camera. I cannot believe they have stopped making the film I had to order these ones from Austria!

Recovering from Spanish road trip and great week with Joe's family in Casares in Spain and then five days of joy with my best friends in Ibiza. So much fun...
Now back in London and on the search for a design job... and then a flat... so much to concentrate on. It's exciting. I love this video, it's inspiring.
Pictures will be up soon. xo
